Gone, but not forgotten.
A state contractor will be subpoenaed by a legislative committee to testify about hiring former Gov. John Rowland as a $5,000-a-month consultant just days after he resigned in disgrace last July.

Whether top officials from the Klewin Building Co. will actually testify on May 17 remains an open question.
The last time these lowlifes were asked to testify, they refused to do so. The legislature hopes with the power of a subpoena, they'll have no choice.

It continues to astonish me how the king of the grafters got only eleven months, although in the new society of men rather than laws, perhaps it shouldn't. At any rate, maybe Judge Dorsey felt it would be easier for our former unctuous governor to testify at the inevitable trials that'll continue after his imprisonment if the jailbird didn't have to be transported from Loretto, PA to Hartford too frequently.
