Two more soldiers were killed in Iraq today as Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage said that "In the Baghdad, Tikrit, Ramadi and Fallujah areas, we have got a security problem ..."

No sh*t, Sherlock.

Meanwhile, the Red Cross has had it.
Confronted with the security nightmare, [International Committee of the Red Cross] spokesman Florian Westphal said in Geneva that the Red Cross will temporarily pull out of Baghdad and Basra, but will "remain present in the north of Iraq."
We can no doubt anticipate the obligatory apologists on tomorrow's talk shows explaining, once again, how all of this chaos demonstrates progress.
