And now things are really starting to get interesting.

Kristof reports in this morning's Times about "President Bush's reliance on forged documents to claim that Iraq had sought uranium in Africa."

Dovetailed with that is Jules Witcover's Baltimore Sun piece about the beginnings of an impeachment movement.
What is an impeachable offense? In the case of former President Bill Clinton, Democrats argued that his personal misconduct did not rise to that level (though in my mind lying to a grand jury certainly did). In this case, it seems irrefutable that if a president knowingly led the country into war on the basis of faulty or hyped intelligence, such conduct would reach that level.
It may not get interesting--and the good guys may not win--but it's certain to get ugly.
